Create a Painting That Lives With You
Each commission begins with a feeling.
A sense of color, movement, or atmosphere you want to live with every day. My work evolves intuitively—through layers of color and mark-making—until the painting finds its natural balance.
A commissioned piece is not a recreation, but a continuation. Something created specifically for your space, guided by how you want it to feel.
Commissions often begin with a space, a palette, or simply a feeling someone wants to live with.
Some collectors come with a clear vision. Others are drawn to the work and trust the process to unfold. Both lead to something personal and considered.
A commissioned painting might become:
A large-scale piece that anchors a room
A color-driven work that connects with your interior
A softer, more atmospheric composition for quiet spaces
A companion piece that brings balance to an existing wall
Each painting develops through layers, allowing the composition to evolve naturally over time.
What a Commission Can Be
Every commission begins with a conversation.
You can share as much or as little direction as you’d like—whether that’s a specific size, a palette, or simply a feeling you want the painting to hold.
From there, we define an overall direction together, considering the scale of your space, the surrounding tones, and the kind of presence you want the piece to have.
Once the painting begins, it develops in layers. I’ll share a few moments along the way so you can feel connected to the process, while still allowing the work to unfold intuitively.
When the painting reaches its natural balance, I complete the final details and prepare it for its new home.
The Process
Commissioned paintings are priced based on size and complexity.
Common sizes include:
36 × 36 — $2,600
48 × 48 — $4,600
48 × 60 — $5,800
60 × 60 — $7,200
Custom sizes are always welcome. I’m happy to guide scale based on your space and how you want the painting to live within it.
Commission Pricing
It’s helpful to begin with a sense of where the painting will live.
A photo of the space, along with approximate wall dimensions, gives me a starting point for scale and proportion. If you have a general size in mind, that’s helpful too.
You’re welcome to share color direction or tones you’re drawn to, though it’s just as natural to leave that open and allow the painting to develop intuitively.
Most importantly, a few words about how you want the piece to feel—calm, energetic, layered, soft—often become the foundation for the work.
If you’re unsure about any of this, we’ll figure it out together.
